DAY 01: DELHI = CHANDIGARH - MANALI
Morning you will met by our representative and transfer to New Delhi Railway station to catch the Shatabdi Express train to Chandigarh
Upon arrival Our jeep will pick up guest from chandigarh railway station and straight drive to Manali enroute Kullu Valley. The most charming and beautiful Kullu valley spreads out its charm on either side of river Beas.Kullu was once known as Kulanthpitha, which means the end of the habitable world. Beyond rose the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas, and by the banks of the shining river Beas, lay the fabled ' Silver Valley '. The valley runs north to south of Beas River and is 80 kms. Long and about 2 kms wide.
DAY 02: MANALI
In the morning we drive to the adjoining town of Naggar , the ancient capital of the Kullu valley, and visit the Naggar Castle . Built in the 18th century astride a sheer-sided bluff the castle is built in the traditional "earthquake-proof" way common to this region around a central courtyard that houses a legendary shrine.
Over the centuries, it has served as a palace and a colonial mansion and is now run as a heritage hotel. Not far from here is a fine art gallery dedicated to the famous Russian painter, Nicholas Roerich. Spend the afternoon at leisure to explore Manali.
DAY 03 & 04:MANALI - LEH: (MANALI TO LEH JEEP SAFARI)
Two days drive from Manali to reach Leh
Considered as one of the highest roads in the world, Manali-Leh highway is the most popular and spectacular approach to Ladakh. From the months of end June to October this highway is open. It's a very scenic route, full of adventure and rugged beauty. The road was closed for the civilian use till 1990, but now the adventure and nature lovers worship it, for this road gives closest contact with nature and thrill of being on the top of the world is enormous.
DAY 03: MANALI TO SARCHU (222 KMS)
Today we cross Rohtang Pass (3978 m), Keylong (3350 m), Baralacha Pass (4890m) with overnight stopover at Sarchu (4253 m), border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh).
Upon arrival in Sarchu we check in at our tented campsite for overnight stay
DAY 04: SARCHU TO LEH
Today, the road from Sarchu crosses high mountain Passes of Namika La and Lachalung La to reach the army camp in the Pang valley. The dry barren mountains around Pang are eroded in very spectacular way. They look like giant fortress like structures with spires, pinnacles and windows. From Pang, the road climbs up and reaches a different world altogether.
Here is the flat high desert of More Plains, 50-60 km of road bisecting it. This is Rupshu, an extension of Changthang plateau of Tibet. The road then climbs for Tanglang Pass (5415 m), the second highest mountain Pass in Ladakh and then finally reaches Leh. This 475 km Himalayan journey is a visual delight with not one moment of boredom en route.
Upon arrival in Leh transfer to your pre-arranged hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 05: LEH - HUNDER (NUBRA VALLEY ) (126 Kms / approx 06 hours drive)
After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Sase massif.
Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas . Nubra lies at and altitude of about 10,000 - ft. above the sea level and is drained largely by the Shiyok river. The Siachen river forms its single largest tributary.
First visit SUMUR, another pretty village on the other side of the river'; SAMSTANLING GOMPA here was founded by Lama Tsultims Nima and Monastic community was introduced as Rezong Gonpa. About 50 monks are residing at this 132 years old Monastery. The Gompa has some strict rules and regulations like not allowing women in the monastery after sunset and before sunrise, no smoking etc.
Our tented camp - Nubra Organic Retreat is situated in a beautiful village called HUNDAR with lot of trees. There is nothing more to see here except a small monastery and ruined fort above the village however the site for the camp is so beautiful that it will invite you to explore the village on own.
DAY 06: HUNDER ( NUBRA VALLEY ) - LEH
After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07: LEH
Excursion to Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast we Leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake.
Pangong Lake , situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China . A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. The tourism department intends to develop the infrastructure and facilitate the route leading to the lake.
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake . One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.
After spending some time at pangong we drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 08: LEH
Excursion to Shey, Thiksey, Hemis
Today we proceed for Indus Valley monastery tour.
We start with a visit to Shey the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery here has a huge gold-gilded statue of Buddha Sakyamuni with a large silver lamp burning in front of the statue, built in the memory of King Singee Namgyal by his son lDeldan Namgyal in 1633 A.D. It is the only kind of statue made of Gold, Gilt and copper in entire Ladakh.
Then we visit Thiksey Gompa an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. The monastery has a beautiful 30 m high gold-plated statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the future is one of the most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh,.
Drive further to visit the famous Hemis Gompa, This is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the other Drukpa monasteries are the branch monasteries of Hemis. It was built during early 17th century with the blessing of Lama Stagtsang Raspa (Shambunatha), by famous Namgyal dynasty king Singee Namgyal.
The two-day festival of monastic dance in June-July has raised the reputation of Hemis particularly high. The festival is dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, popularly known as second Buddha and responsible for spreading Buddhism in the Tibetan world.

DAY 09: LEH - ALCHI
Enroute visiting: Phyang, Likir, Basgo
After breakfast we drive to Phyang, located 6 kms away from the Srinagar-Leh highway and 17 km from Leh. It was built during the reign of King Jamyang Namgyal in late 15th century by lama Kunga Dragspa. Phiyang belongs to Dri-pung kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. The man Assembly Hall which is now under conservation contains as main image Vairocana accompanied by Shakyamuni and various Kagyu lamas, and the walls are painted pleasingly with murals of Vajradhara and Five Dhyani Buddhas.
And we drive further to Likir, Likir gompa situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir , This Monastery is headed by the younger brother of Dalai Lama. According to tradition the foundation of Likir monastery goes back 11th century when it was a Bon center. But the real foundation seem to be not earlier than 15th century. On the top on roof they have newly setup a museum which contains some very old thankas brought from Tibet and the armory, coins, seals etc.
Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. Amidst the ruines of the fort there are two large temples and adjoining one of there is a small shrine. They all contains images of Maitreya in due proportion to their size. The most beautiful one is the higer one, which is known as the Chamba Lha-khang ( Maitreya Temple ) and which was built by Tsewang Namgyal, son of Tashi Namgyal, about the middle of 16th century.
Then we drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh's most loved monastery. Over a century old, its wall paintings are very similar to those of the Tabo gompa in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. Unlike other monasteries, which are usually on a cliff top or cling to a mountainside, Alchi is at ground level and is nestled in the shade of a garden.
After visiting the Alchi Monastery we check in at our Camp / Guest House for Overnight stay.
DAY 10: Alchi - Leh
Enroute visiting Lamayuru, Ridzong
After break fast start early morning drive to Lamayuru, and Ridzong back to Leh.
Lamayuru is around more further towards Kargil. Lamayuru monastery belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat) like Phiyang. The oldest structure in Lamayuru is the Singey Lhakhang built by the founder of Alchi Lotsava Rinchen bzangpo in 11th century. Lamayuru lower ladakh its also called as sham.
After visit at lamayuru Gonpa the drive to Ridzong Gompa: Rizong Gompa is known as the paradise for Meditation. Guru Padma Sambhava is believed to editated here for years. One can still find the small caves where Lamas used to meditate for years cutting themselves from the rest of the world except for a one feet square outlet window from where they accept the one time meal of the day.
Rid-zong is the most recent of the Gelug-pa foundation in Ladakh. The monastery has been built picturesquely at the head of a gorge reached by a side-valley running north from the Indus near a village Uletokpo. Rid-zong is best known as best disciplined monastery of the whole of Ladakh.
After Ridzong visit we drive back to Leh and check in at our hotel for overnight stay
DAY 11: LEH
Excursion to Khardungla Top
After breakfast drive to Khardung la, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft. is around 39 Kms away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages
The views from the top of the pass are amazing. This road carries on to the Nubra Valley (optional). Return to the hotel for hot lunch.
Later in the afternoon at leisure for last day shopping and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 12: DEPART LEH

DAY 01: DELHI = AMRITSAR (BY SWARNA SHATABDI)

Upon arrival in Amritsar You will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel.. In the evening we journey 40 Kms to Wagha, the border between India & Pakistan . Each evening a very impressive lowering of guards ceremony is performed along with a march past by soldiers of both countries in synchronization to the accompaniment of bugles. The soldiers of both countries wear ceremonial dresses. It is quite a spectacular sight to see the same thing happening on both sides of the border. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02: AMRITSAR
Following breakfast we visit the Golden Temple , which is the Mecca of Sikh religion .The temple with a shinny pure gold dome, is beautifully situated in the center of a lake (The Holy Tank). And is approached by a causeway .All around the lake are marble walkways and various other temple buildings. The community kitchen, which feeds over a thousand people continuously, is spectacular. The huge utensils to prepare the food and the chapattis (breads) - 20 to 25 at a time - are a mind-boggling sight. However, besides the physical beauty of the place, the strong and tranquil spiritual atmosphere of the place is soul stirring without being overwhelming. The constant recitation of the holy book brings a certain sense of peace to the individual. We walk through the temple complex and try soak in the atmosphere. We would also have an opportunity to meet some Sikh religious leaders who would talk to us about the basic tenets of Sikhism.
Just outside the Golden Temple are various shops that sell Sikh religious artifacts like swords (decorative), bracelets, combs, small daggers etc.
During the day, we would also visit the Jalianwala Bagh, the martyr's memorial where thousands of innocent Indians were cordoned off by the British and fired. The well where several Indians jumped to escape the bullets as well as bullet marks and a museum of pictures can be still seen here.
We would also be visiting the Golden Temple after dinner. There happens a spectacular ceremony, where the Sikhs put their holy book (Guru Granth Sahib) to sleep. The priests carry the books over their head to place them in a golden palanquin.
The book is then carried to an inner chamber in the Palanquin to the accompaniment of bugles and drums and the chanting of the name of the Lord. The palanquin itself is carried by devotees in turns. It is quite a special sight. The book is again placed in the main sanctum similarly in the morning.

DAY 03: AMRITSAR - DHARAMSHALA (200 KMS. / 07 HRS)

DAY 02: SHIMLA
The British called Shimla the "Queen of Hill Stations "Situated in the north-West Himalayas, Shimla the summer capital of India before independence is now the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla derives its name from "Shyamala" - the goddess Kali, whose temple existed in the dense forest that covered Jakhu Hill in the early 19th century. The English named it Simla. Shimla is well connected by air, road and rail with all parts of Himachal Pradesh, and the neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashimir and the Union territory of Chandigarh . Covering the area of 18 sq. km. at a height of 7,238 ft. Shimla is surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Its well developed facilities, easy accessibility and numerous attractions make it one of Indian's most popular and biggest hill-stations.
Day free to visit Shimla - The Mall - The Mall is the main shopping centre of Shimla. It also has many Restaurants, Clubs, Banks, Bars, Post Offices , Christ Church : Situated on the Ridge is Christ Church , which is the second oldest church in Northern India . It has a very majestic appearance and inside there are stained glass windows which represent faith, hope, charity, fortitude, patience and humility. Shimla State Museum : The Museum, which was opened in 1974, has tried to project hill-out and the cultural wealth of the state. DAY 05: MANALI TO JISPA (10,978 FEET)
After breakfast, we leave Manali and drive towards the Beas watershed where we quickly climb and cross the first high pass of our journey, the Rothang La (12,960 feet). La is the Tibetan word for a mountain pass. Descending the far side of Rothang La we enter the rain shadow of the Himalaya and the district of Lahaul. Passing through the bustling town of Keylong ,
We continue on to Jispa. Upon arrival in jispa we check in at our hotel ibex for overnight stay.
DAY 06: JISPA TO BRANDY NALLA (13,000 FEET)
This morning we leave Jispa and drive along the Braga River to Darcha. From this point, we ascend to the 16,020 foot Baralacha La pass, a five mile stretch featuring a small lake that is the source of the Bhaga and the Chandra rivers. From here, the snow-covered peaks of the Barashigri, Chandrabhaga, and Mulkila ranges tower thousands of feet above us.
Descending the other side, we reach the surprisingly comfortable camp at Brandy Nalla (13,000 feet) to enjoy stunning views,
a memorable home-cooked meal and our first high-altitude overnight stay.
DAY 07: BRANDY NALLA TO TSOMORARI / EXPLORING TSOMORARI
We enjoys a leisurely breakfast at Brandy Nalla then depart for a spectacular off-road drive that few Westerners have ever taken. First we pass lake Tsokar and traverse Lachulung La (16,615 feet). Passing the summit, we come to the Kyangshu Plains, a 25-mile stretch named after the kyang, a wild donkey that roams these plains. Late in the day we arrive at our camp near the turquoise blue waters of the Tso Morari Lake .
The following day we explore the spectacular area surrounding Tsomorari. We visit the Karzok Gompa (monastery) and have the option for various afternoon hikes.

DAY 08: TSOMORIRI - TANGLANG LA - LEH
Leaving camp we approach the Tanglang La, which, at 17,475 feet, is the highest point on our journey. We descend the other side to the village of Upshi . A pleasant drive along the Indus River valley features hillsides dotted with Buddhist chorten (cemeteries), mani (prayer walls), and cliff-hanging monasteries.
We reach our hotel in Leh by late afternoon, with the rest of the day free to relax and acclimate to the altitude.
DAY 09:LEH
Half Day Rafting - Phey to Nimu
Post breakfast drive to Phey (45 min) and Enjoy River rafting from Phey to Nimu followed by packed lunch. Drive to Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & Hall of Fame
Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, about 25 km from the town of Leh, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. It was run by them for over four centuries. Currently, the Army is looking after it.
A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up.
Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar river 4 km before Nimmu village. One can have the magnificent view of two rivers in wed lock. In season they have different colors, flow and beauty. It is at an altitude of 10,823 ft.
Later we drive back to leh and visit Hall of Fame near Leh is worth a visit for every citizen. It is a glorious museum constructed by Indian army. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defence personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during Kargil war and belongings of enemy soldiers found at war site. Another section of this building is entirely dedicated to Siachen and its heroes. On display are attires, multi layered shoes to keep their feet from frost bites, their daily instruments, their day to day food mainly frozen and packed, which is heated by lighting small balls of Hexamycin tablets, as fire is difficult to ignite at a temperature dipping -30 deg to -50 deg centigrade. It is mentioned on a board that 97% of the casualties in Siachen are due to cold and terrain.
In the evening return to the hotel for dinner & overnight at the hotel.

DAY 01: DELHI = CHANDIGARH - MANALI
Morning you will met by our representative and transfer to New Delhi Railway station to catch the Shatabdi Express train to Chandigarh
Upon arrival Our jeep will pick up guest from chandigarh railway station and straight drive to Manali enroute Kullu Valley. The most charming and beautiful Kullu valley spreads out its charm on either side of river Beas.Kullu was once known as Kulanthpitha, which means the end of the habitable world. Beyond rose the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas, and by the banks of the shining river Beas, lay the fabled ' Silver Valley '. The valley runs north to south of Beas River and is 80 kms. Long and about 2 kms wide.
DAY 02: MANALI
In the morning we drive to the adjoining town of Naggar , the ancient capital of the Kullu valley, and visit the Naggar Castle . Built in the 18th century astride a sheer-sided bluff the castle is built in the traditional "earthquake-proof" way common to this region around a central courtyard that houses a legendary shrine.
Over the centuries, it has served as a palace and a colonial mansion and is now run as a heritage hotel. Not far from here is a fine art gallery dedicated to the famous Russian painter, Nicholas Roerich.
Spend the afternoon at leisure to explore Manali.
DAY 03 & 04:MANALI - LEH: (MANALI TO LEH JEEP SAFARI)
Two days drive from Manali to reach Leh
Considered as one of the highest roads in the world, Manali-Leh highway is the most popular and spectacular approach to Ladakh. From the months of end June to October this highway is open. It's a very scenic route, full of adventure and rugged beauty. The road was closed for the civilian use till 1990, but now the adventure and nature lovers worship it, for this road gives closest contact with nature and thrill of being on the top of the world is enormous.
DAY 03: MANALI TO SARCHU (222 KMS)
Today we cross Rohtang Pass (3978 m), Keylong (3350 m), Baralacha Pass (4890m) with overnight stopover at Sarchu (4253 m), border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh).
Upon arrival in Sarchu we check in at our tented campsite for overnight stay
DAY 04: SARCHU TO LEH
Today, the road from Sarchu crosses high mountain Passes of Namika La and Lachalung La to reach the army camp in the Pang valley. The dry barren mountains around Pang are eroded in very spectacular way. They look like giant fortress like structures with spires, pinnacles and windows. From Pang, the road climbs up and reaches a different world altogether.
Here is the flat high desert of More Plains, 50-60 km of road bisecting it. This is Rupshu, an extension of Changthang plateau of Tibet. The road then climbs for Tanglang Pass (5415 m), the second highest mountain Pass in Ladakh and then finally reaches Leh. This 475 km Himalayan journey is a visual delight with not one moment of boredom en route.
Upon arrival in Leh transfer to your pre-arranged hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 05:LEH - HUNDER (NUBRA VALLEY ) (126 Kms / approx 06 hours drive)
After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Sase massif.
Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas . Nubra lies at and altitude of about 10,000 - ft. above the sea level and is drained largely by the Shiyok river. The Siachen river forms its single largest tributary.
First visit SUMUR, another pretty village on the other side of the river'; SAMSTANLING GOMPA here was founded by Lama Tsultims Nima and Monastic community was introduced as Rezong Gonpa. About 50 monks are residing at this 132 years old Monastery. The Gompa has some strict rules and regulations like not allowing women in the monastery after sunset and before sunrise, no smoking etc.
Our tented camp - Nubra Organic Retreat is situated in a beautiful village called HUNDAR with lot of trees. There is nothing more to see here except a small monastery and ruined fort above the village however the site for the camp is so beautiful that it will invite you to explore the village on own.
DAY 06: HUNDER ( NUBRA VALLEY ) - LEH
After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional).
Later we drive to Leh over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07: LEH
Excursion to Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast we Leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake.
Pangong Lake , situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China . A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. The tourism department intends to develop the infrastructure and facilitate the route leading to the lake.
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake . One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.
After spending some time at pangong we drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 08: LEH
Excursion to Shey, Thiksey, Hemis
Today we proceed for Indus Valley monastery tour.
We start with a visit to Shey the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery here has a huge gold-gilded statue of Buddha Sakyamuni with a large silver lamp burning in front of the statue, built in the memory of King Singee Namgyal by his son lDeldan Namgyal in 1633 A.D. It is the only kind of statue made of Gold, Gilt and copper in entire Ladakh.
Then we visit Thiksey Gompa an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. The monastery has a beautiful 30 m high gold-plated statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the future is one of the most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh,.
Drive further to visit the famous Hemis Gompa, This is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Most of the other Drukpa monasteries are the branch monasteries of Hemis. It was built during early 17th century with the blessing of Lama Stagtsang Raspa (Shambunatha), by famous Namgyal dynasty king Singee Namgyal.
The two-day festival of monastic dance in June-July has raised the reputation of Hemis particularly high. The festival is dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, popularly known as second Buddha and responsible for spreading Buddhism in the Tibetan world.

Day 03: Manali to Keylong
Post breakfast we check out from the hotel and Drive to the Lahaul valley. Cross over the famous Rohtang Pas at an altitude of 4000m. Enroute view spectacular scenery of the Lahoul Valley all along the River Chandra. Witness the confluence of River Chandra and Bhaga at Tandi. There on drive upstream along the river Bhaga to arrive at Keylong.
Upon arrival in keylong we check in at our pre-arranged hotel.
Later we visit KARDANG MONASTERY (3500 m): It is about 5kms. from Keylong across Bhaga river. It is believed to be built in 12th century. The Monastery has a large library of Kangyur and Tangyur volumes of Budhist scriptures in Bhoti. Kardang village was once the capital of Lahaul.
If time permits we also visit SHASHUR MONASTERY: Situated on a hill about 3 kms. far from Keylong towards north on the same slope. During June/July this monastery attracts lot of visitors when Lamas perform devil dance. It was founded in the 17th century a.d. It belongs to red hat sect and is located among the blue pines. The paintings are represent the history of 84 Buddha's.

Day 04: Keylong to Sarchu [114 KMS, 6 HRS DRIVE]
Post breakfast we check out from the hotel and Drive north on the Manali-Leh Highway . You get to see some of the most breath taking landscapes that the Western Himalayas can offer. The scenery gets more stark and barren as we climb up to the 16,500-foot high Baralacha La the second mountain pass on our journey. From the pass beautiful views of meadows and snow-capped mountains can be seen. By early evening we reach the small hamlet of Sarchu with set on a large plateau.
Upon arrival in Sarchu we check into camp. Evening at leisure & overnight stay at the camp
Day 05: Sarchu to Tsomori-ri
After breakfast today there is a drive almost 200 km journey full of beautiful landscapes on the way when you reach at tsokar 115 km and ahead 85 km is Tsomori-ri Lake . Tsomoriri is full of natural Landscaped which includes beautiful small lakes on the way and Mountains after this drive you reach to the Rupshu valley. Tsomori-ri is the Biggest Brackish water Lake which has no outlet. Overnight Camp.
Day 06: Full day in Tsomori-ri
Full day excursion around lake and K0rzok Monastery which belongs to the yellow sect. Tsomori-ri or " Mountain Lake " is situated in the middle of the elevated valley of Rupshu surrounded by 6000 M peaks which completely shut the lake in. This Valley is inhabited by a small scattered population of "Changpas" nomadic shepherds who also engage in trade and work the Caravans in Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti the area is rich in wildlife including the "Kyang" (Wild Ass) red fox and the rare highly endangered snow Leopard. Black Necked cranes and Geese flock to the lakeside for breeding during the summer months.
Also visit the 350 years old Korzok Monastery which has about 33 resident monks.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
DAY 07: TSOMORI-RI TO LEH (3506M/280 KMS)
After breakfast drive for 7hours to Leh via Sumdo and Chuma - Thang (3965M). Enroute stop at Mahe Bridge from where the road crosses to the south bank of the river by a bridge; it then follows the unmetalled road through Sumdo village up to join Puga stream. The drive from Sumdo to Mahe follows a narrow mountain gorge through green bushes. Packed lunch en-route.
Chuma-Thang is known for its famous medicated hot water springs where people from various parts of Ladakh come for relieving their pains. Enroute drive past beautiful villages of Nurnis, Kery and Kadgam. The Jeep drive through this part of the Indus valley is quite flat without much uphill or downhill drive, a wide-open village.
Upon arrival in Leh transfer to your pre-arranged hotel for two nights.
DAY 08: LEH
Complete day at leisure to explore the area on your own and last day shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 09: LEH
